After much anticipation, Rajinikanth’s Kaala is set to hit to hit the screens on June 7 this week. The fans’ curiosity is piquing as the multilingual film nears its release. The political drama co-stars Huma Qureshi and features Rajinikanth as a Mumbai gangster and the fans are expecting the best of the best from the film.
And while different fans prepare for the release in disparate ways, a Kerala based IT company has declared a holiday for all its employees on the big day. The announcement comes after the employees requested the authorities for an off on the release day. Film critic and trade analyst Ramesh Bala took to Twitter to announce the amusing news.
He shared the photograph of the official circular that read, “Dear Team Members, We are happy to announce a glad news to all of you. As a token of great honor to superstar Rajinikanth and as per everyone’s request, our company is granting a holiday on June 7th. This is for your convenience to watch Kaala on the release date itself.”
As mentioned in the circular, the authorities decided to surprise the employees by helping them catch the most-anticipated release of this month on the release date itself. The film will see a simultaneous release in Tamil, Telugu and Hindi.
Directed by Pa Ranjith, the film has been produced by Rajinikanth’s son-in-law and actor Dhanush. The film got mired in a controversy when a Mumbai-based journalist alleged that Kaala is based on his father and depicts him in a wrong light. Pa Ranjith, however, continues to maintain that the film is entirely a work of fiction.
